W 1900 roku nabyty został do SK Łuczyna od górala w Ciocanesti. Nazwę swą otrzymał od szczytu górskiego w okolicy Łuczyny. Był to koń bezsprzecznie z domieszką krwi arabskiej, o czym świadczyła jego suchość, szlachetność i lekki spód, ze szczupłymi stawami nadgarstkowymi i skokowymi.
